98% of mums welcome SHA’s independent review of the science behind baby products

98% of mums know best when it comes to looking out for their baby’s skin. The Skin Health Alliance (SHA) recently commissioned a survey among European mums-to-be and new mums canvassing their opinion on a variety of topics ranging from infant skin care through to the products they use on their little ones.

A staggering 98% of mums surveyed would welcome the SHA’s independent professional review of the science behind baby products. 94% were also reassured and more likely to choose a baby product carrying the endorsement mark. 87% agreed they were more likely to recommend those products carrying the SHA mark to other mums-to-be and new mums.

Sarah Bond, a new mum from the UK said: “I really do care about what comes into contact with my baby’s skin. There is a lot of information out there and finding the best advice is sometimes very difficult. I feel reassured that Skin Health Alliance experts have taken an in-depth look at the research behind a product. I now know the mark to look out for when I go shopping and if a product is the right one for my daughter.”

The coming months will see the SHA partnering with even more brands including some of the world’s leading names in infant skin products. The SHA will also be present at the forthcoming World Congress of Paediatric Dermatology taking place in Madrid.
