Skin Health Alliance stimulates debate at the 24th World Congress of Dermatology in Milan

The Skin Health Alliance (SHA) once again presented at the World Congress of Dermatology (WCD) last week.

The WCD is the world’s largest dermatological meeting, taking place every 4 years, attracting up to 20,000 delegates from around the globe. The 24th WCD took place in Milan and afforded an opportunity for dermatologists to learn about the latest developments in skin medicine, pharmaceutical therapies and cosmetic science. The SHA has a history of showcasing technology at the WCD having been a major presence at both the Vancouver 2015 and Seoul 2011 conferences.

One of the highlights of the Milan WCD was the SHA delivering a ‘Meet the Expert’ Session exploring feminine care alongside partners P&G Always.   Under the watchful eye of science writer Chair Nina Goad, SHA Drs Karen Gibbon and Tabi Leslie presented with Drs Stefanie Glathe and Stefanie Fleck from Always research team.  The session sought to dispel the myths around feminine care by establishing the facts behind the headlines.  This was achieved by Drs Glathe and Fleck presenting the Always safety and efficacy research whilst both Drs Gibbon and Leslie explained what they see in their clinics on a day to day basis.  The session was well received and certainly stimulated a great deal of debate around the importance of separating myth from reality.
